What is Minoxidil Used For?
Minoxidil is an oral medication used to treat hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) and promote hair regrowth in men. It is sometimes prescribed off-label for individuals who do not respond to topical minoxidil.
How Does Minoxidil Work?

- Try to take it at the same time every day to maintain consistency.
- It may take at least 3 to 6 months before you see noticeable results.
- Continue taking Minoxidil to maintain benefits – stopping the medication may lead to hair loss resuming within a few months.
What If You Miss a Dose?
- If you forget a dose, skip it and take your next dose as scheduled.
- Do not take two doses at the same time.
